Electronic Newsletter: June 2005
This newsletter is intended for subscribers and others interested in the work of Our Lady's Fatima Apostolate. If you feel you have received it in error or wish to be removed, please let us know by return mail. Thank you.
The first five months of 2005 have been busy ones indeed, especially for Our Lady's online ministry. We have logged over 500,000 visitors and more than 26 MILLION hits to the Fatima Network since January and the numbers keep growing! As you can imagine, this has provided more than a few challenges, but we are confident that our web team is more than capable of keeping up with them and will continue to provide you and other friends with an inspiring and faith-building experience on Our Lady's web sites.
As you may already know, the Apostolate has recently announced a major new initiative aimed at fulfilling Our Blessed Mother's solemn request for the Consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart by the Pope and all our Catholic bishops. We are asking you and every other son and daughter of Our Lady to help us in this historic effort by petitioning our new Holy Father to consecrate Russia as She asked at Fatima. Our goal is to hand-deliver no less than 5 Million signatures for Russia's Consecration to the Holy Father in January 2006. It's a huge goal and it will only be possible IF we have your prayers and help. If you have not already signed the online petition, then I urge you to sign it now! After reading the article in Crusader 78 about the beautiful miracle that Our Lady worked to save the life of young Ricky (https://archive.fatima.org/crusader/cr78/cr78pg29.asp), many people have written or called to ask me about other miracles attributed to Our Lady of Fatima. The fact is that there are literally too many to recount. All I can say is that we have received thousands of accounts of miracles of healing, of conversion, of renewed financial and family stability from people around the world. In particular, many people have written concerning the wonderful and salutary effects of the water we bring back from Our Lady's miraculous spring at Fatima each year. We offer this water absolutely free and without conditions to any and all who request it. You can send your request via email or by using the convenient online form (see link below). The important thing to remember is that Our Lady is a loving and most powerful intercessor, especially for those who turn to Her in true faith and devotion. Indeed, She told Sister Lucy of Fatima that She would personally protect all Her "dear ones" from all dangers and help bring them to Heaven. Ave Maria, gratia plena!
In this most holy month of the Sacred Heart, I send you my priestly blessing and my best wishes and thanks for your continuing prayers and support. God bless and keep you always.

This is the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus which overflows with love, kindness and mercy for us all. Though sadly neglected in recent years, the devotion to the Sacred Heart remains one of the most beautiful and powerful in the entire Church, filled with special graces and endowed with magnificent promises (see below). And while June is the month that the Church traditionally dedicates to this devotion, each one of us should adopt the pious habit of making a morning offering daily to the Sacred Heart. Here is a version of the offering in both English and Latin:
Lord Jesus Christ, in union with that divine intention wherewith on earth Thou didst offer to God Thy praises through Thy Most Sacred Heart, and dost now offer them in the Sacrament of the Eucharist everywhere on earth even to the end of time, I most gladly offer Thee throughout this entire day, all my thoughts and intentions, all my affections and desires, all my words and deeds, in imitation of the Immaculate Heart of the Most Blessed and ever Virgin Mary. Amen.
Domine Iesu Christe, in unione illius divinae intentionis, quia in terris per sanctissimum Cor tuum laudes Deo persolvisti et nunc in Eucharistiae Sacramento ubique terrarum persolvis usque ad consummationem saeculi, ego per hanc diem integram, ad imitationem sanctissimi Cordis beatae Mariae semper Virginis immaculatae, tibi libentissime offero omnes meos intentiones et cogitationes, omnes meos affectus et desideria, omnia mea opera et verba. Amen.

"Look, My daughter, at My Heart, surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce Me at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console Me and announce in My name that I promise to assist at the moment of death, with all the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months shall go to Confession, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary, and keep Me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to Me."
— Our Lady to Sister Lucy at Pontevedra, 1925
That our bishops and priests may dedicate themselves and their priesthood to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts of Jesus and Mary, living lives of selfless devotion and piety and becoming for us living examples of perfect faith, hope and charity.
