"Consecration Now!" Fatima
Conference in Rome

"Consecration Now!" scheduled for May 2011 is our latest International Fatima Conference to be held in Rome.

This new event is designed to build on the momentum of the historic Fatima Challenge we held in Rome last year.

Like the persistent neighbor in Our Lord's parable who keeps knocking at midnight until his request is fulfilled (Luke 11:5-8), our duty at the Fatima Center is to keep knocking, keep reminding, keep insisting that the one and only one way to world peace is the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It is truly the midnight of our civilization and Our Blessed Mother offers the only hope to deliver us from the ever-increasing darkness. Our Lady of Fatima solemnly assures us that if this Consecration is properly performed, Russia will be converted to the Catholic Faith, and a period of peace will be granted to the whole world. No other solution will do. Today there is incessant war, ever-increasing sin, and nothing but false solutions proposed for world peace.

Deadly Counterfeit Peace Plans

As for the escalating war in Afghanistan claiming more and more soldiers' and civilians' lives, General David Petraeus, Commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, offers no hope for peace. In the recently released book Obama Wars, veteran Washington journalist Bob Woodward quotes General Petraeus as saying:

"You have to recognize also that I don't think you win this war. I think you keep fighting. It's a little bit like Iraq, actually. . . . Yes, there has been enormous progress in Iraq. But there are still horrific attacks in Iraq, and you have to stay vigilant. You have to stay after it. This is the kind of fight we're in for the rest of our lives and probably our kids' lives."

This "peace through perpetual war" is a proposal of despair. Despite his good intentions, Petraeus is admitting that all of the might of the U.S. military is incapable of bringing about peace. Worse, false solutions for world peace abound even inside the Church. Our Church leaders hold "interfaith summits" with representatives of the world religions for the sake of world peace. This places all false religions on the same level as the one true Church established by Our Lord Jesus Christ. This too is a recipe for disaster, as great churchmen of the past have warned that this will only incur God's wrath. In a 1918 pastoral letter entitled "The Lesson of Events," the eminent Cardinal Mercier from Belgium formally taught that the First World War (1914-1918) was a punishment for the nations placing the one true Catholic Church on the same level with false religious systems. He wrote,

"In the name of the Gospel, and in the light of the Encyclicals of the last four Popes, Gregory XVI, Pius IX, Leo XIII, and Pius X, I do not hesitate to affirm that this indifference to religions which puts on the same level the religion of divine origin and the religions invented by men in order to include them in the same skepticism is the blasphemy which calls down chastisement on society far more than the sins of individuals and families."

Our "Consecration Now!" conference will reiterate the one true way to world peace, which is the fulfillment of the simple requests of Our Lady of Fatima. It will also spotlight the false approach to peace so common among leaders of Church and State. Relying on the Gospel, the traditional teaching of the Church, and Our Lady of Fatima's message, the conference will detail the dire consequences of Our Lady's requests being ignored.

Other well-known Catholic speakers and Fatima experts have also already agreed to come. Names such as Father Paul Kramer, Father Patrick Perez, Christopher Ferrara, Dr. Peter Chojnowski, Michael J Matt, Michal Semin, John Salza, Edwin Faust, John Vennari, Cornelia Ferreira and others yet to be announced will join Father Gruner to deliver up-to-the minute lectures about the increasing importance of the Fatima Message.
