Even those who continue to cherish the delusion that "Communism is dead", must acknowledge that the "Corpse" remains remarkably active. From Los Angeles to Lima, Peru; from Johannesburg, South Africa to Tel Aviv, Israel; from Moscow, Russia to Beijing, China; Communist activity thrives.

Here are a few examples of current Communist activity:

1. An invitation from the Southern California District of the Communist Party, U.S.A.

"Join us in a Champagne Brunch on Sunday, January 31, Featuring Sam Webb, Sec. Nat. Labor Commission, CPUSA; Commenting on ‘Challenges for Labor in the Clinton Administration'. Sponsored by the Southern California District of the Communist Party, U.S.A."

2. A report in the January 16 edition of the U.S. Communist newspaper, People's Weekly World, under the caption, "Israeli CP prepares for 22nd Congress:

"Tel Aviv - Preparations are in full swing for the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of Israel, slated for January 28-30."

3. U.S. Communists rejoicing because the Communists have regained power in the former Soviet Republic of Tajikistan:

Communists again lead Republic of  Tajikistan(People's Weekly World, January 16, 1993)

4. A report in the Chinese Communist magazine, Beijing Review, with caption:

Yeltsin's China Visit: A New Era (December 28, 1992, January 16, 1993).

This article appeared in the January 24, 1993 edition of the Revolutionary Worker which is published by the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) of the U.S.A.
