Re: The Easygoing Weakness of Catholics
and Other Issues

“ If we hated sin as we ought to hate it, ... we should do more penance, we should inflict more self-punishment, we should sorrow for our sins more abidingly....the crowning disloyalty to God is heresy. It is the sin of sins...It is the polluting of God’s truth, which is the worst of all impurities. ”.

Seven Sorrows of Our Lady

Dear Friend of Our Lady,

In our August letter, we wrote about two grievous errors that have invaded the Church, the errors of modernism and sedevacantism.

Of the two errors, the one that has had the greatest impact and is most widespread is modernism.

Pope Saint Pius X in his encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis defines modernism as the synthesis of all heresies.

And it is heresy that Father Faber is referring to in the above quote as the sin of sins, the polluting of God’s Truth, the worst of all impurities.

Enclosed with this letter is Issue 82 of The Fatima Crusader. On page 3 is Father Faber’s article, “Where There is No Hatred of Heresy, There is No Holiness” .

All the strength of satan’s reign is due to the easygoing
weakness of Catholics.” (Pope St. Pius X)

The greater majority of Catholics today do not know the teachings of the Catholic Faith. Many profess belief in heretical ideas without understanding that they are not professing belief in Catholic teaching but in things contrary to the Catholic Faith.

And though some might be tempted to say that it isn’t our fault that after Vatican II most Catholic schools began teaching something other than the Catholic Faith, and many priests stopped giving sermons with the goal of steering the faithful to work out their salvation in fear and trembling as St. Paul advised, God will still hold us accountable on the Day of Judgment.

There is a price to be paid for the gift of being a Catholic. And part of that price is we are expected to learn the True Faith and defend it. We are expected to continue to study the Faith by reviewing the Catechism often, so we don’t forget, and are able to defend the Faith.

But don’t bother to study any new Catechism introduced after the Second Vatican Council — it would be a waste of time.

Instead, use The Catechism of the Council of Trent or an older version of The Baltimore Catechism — which is what was used to teach Catholic children in the U.S. until shortly after the end of Vatican II. The Baltimore Catechism was taken from The Catechism of the Council of Trent, but adapted for children.

For our own protection and salvation, we as Catholics need to know that heresy is widespread throughout the Church today and very much present in the greater majority of diocesan parishes. Sister Lucy of Fatima advised, don’t wait for the priests, i.e. the clergy to turn things around.

It is up to us as individuals to practice the Faith whole and entire as given to the apostles by Our Lord and passed down through the centuries. It is up to us to defend the Faith.

Today Catholics who defend the Faith are generally not well received. They are unwelcome and rejected not only by non-Catholics but by those professing to be Catholic who do not know the True Faith, and perhaps don’t really want to know the Truth.

That is in part what Our Lady of Fatima was referring to when She asked us to offer up the sacrifices of our daily duty. It is our duty as Catholics to defend the Faith. But Our Lady understood that in these times this would become much more difficult and therefore a greater sacrifice.

There are many other good articles in the enclosed Issue of The Fatima Crusader. I encourage you to read (or re-read if you have already done so in the past) the article on page 5 entitled “Living Our Daily Lives In the Light of the Fatima Secret”.

When you read these articles, even if you have done so before, you will see that often they are just as pertinent and perhaps more pertinent than when the magazine was originally published.

For example, referring to the above-mentioned page 3 article on heresy, and an article on page 20, “Fatima Rejects Control by Pope”, it was recently reported by the editor of Catholic Family News that the new modernist Church built in the Sanctuary at Fatima in the last 10 years, the “Church of the Holy Trinity” (recently elevated to a major basilica), hosted a “magic show” for youth on June 10 of this year.

Is that what any Catholic would send his children and grandchildren to Church for? A magic show where Our Lord is supposed to be present in the Blessed Sacrament is blasphemous! NO TRUE CATHOLIC who knows the Faith would attend or send their children to such a thing held in a church.

Remember, this is the new building that looks more like a prison than a church (see page 39 of the enclosed Issue of The Fatima Crusader). There is nothing even remotely edifying about this multi-million dollar monstrosity built from donations of those who went to Fatima on pilgrimage.

It clearly was not designed with the idea of giving God glory and honor. Catholics in Fatima and around the world should make their disapproval of both the ugly building and the use of it for blasphemy clear, by not visiting the new “church” in Fatima and not donating money.

The same should be done in parishes around the world making it clear to the priests, bishops and the Pope that we want our Church, the one True Church back.

Catholics should make it known they want to attend a Catholic Church and not a building that has been protestantized. Referring to it as protestantized is bad enough, but it is the best case scenario when one considers that some have been masonic-ized — i.e. setup to please the diabolical enemies of Christ with demonic symbolism used by the Freemasons.

Catholics should demand a return of the True Church of Jesus Christ, making their displeasure of changes of the past 50 years known by attending the True Mass in real Catholic churches and withdrawing their financial support of the “new” Church.

Here are some of the many changes that swept through the Church after the Second Vatican Council: the removal of the Tabernacle from the center of the altar, the removal and replacement of the altar with a table, the removal of the Communion Rail, the removal of beautiful statues, the removal of the Holy Sacrifice and replacement with a protestant service with a small amount of memorabilia to give the impression that it might be Catholic... The list of godless changes is much longer.

We have all been, and still are, being cheated out of our Catholic heritage by satan and his human minions. And we let it happen!

In addition to our Rosaries, First Saturday Communions of Reparation, sacrifices, etc., if we would make our displeasure known by withdrawing support from “new Church” modernist ideas, it will help convince the Pope and bishops of the need to do the Consecration of Russia.

In today’s world, sad to say but true, nothing gets results faster than withholding money. You may think this is extreme but we are talking about the loss of millions of souls — souls who are going to weekly “Mass” in places where heresy and other soul-destroying things are happening.

Is that why we go to Mass, to lose our souls? Of course not! Then we must act accordingly. Souls are being destroyed. Let your parish priest know you want the changes undone. And when he says he can’t because of his bishop, let your bishop know. And when your bishop rejects your petition, leave your parish.

This may sound outrageous, but Catholic teaching is: If someone is speaking heresy or promoting things outside the Catholic Church we must protect our souls. This is done by defending the Faith, and if no results are obtained then we must protect ourselves by leaving the parish church where anti-Catholic ideas are being proclaimed.

Millions are being led astray from the True Faith outside of which there is no salvation.

I write this not to upset anyone, nor am I intending to be uncharitable or self-righteous. On the contrary, this is done in charity out of a sense of urgency to help those who are being misled. We must help each other achieve our final aim of Heaven.

If you have questions, please call. But I ask for your patience. Sometimes it takes a few days to return calls.

Only Our Lady of Fatima can help us but She expects us to do our part right away or as soon as possible! We must cooperate by our actions with ALL the Graces She obtains for us.

Some Preparedness Steps to Take

We are receiving calls from some who are concerned (rightfully so) about everything happening in the world. Here is some of what they have heard:

Some are asking what should we be doing to protect ourselves?

First and foremost — keep praying the Rosary and wear the Brown Scapular; make use of the Sacrament of Confession as often as possible because there may come a time during the chastisements when it will not be possible to go to Confession; stay in the state of grace; go to Mass and receive Holy Communion as often as your daily duties allow.

In addition to the aforementioned, here are suggestions of what to do from a temporal point of view:

These are just a few suggestions. When possible make your purchases with cash (not check, debit card, credit card, etc.) and without using your store club cards.

Do not get the flu vaccine or any of the other “emergency” vaccinations being promoted, and in some cases given away for free.

There have been a lot of articles printed over the years about why not to get vaccinations — any vaccinations. These articles are written by medical doctors and/or as a result of medical research findings.

Here is a small sampling of what I have come across more recently:

Comparison studies of blood samples from healthy unvaccinated children and those who received an annual flu shot showed that the children who did NOT receive the flu shot naturally built up more antibodies (this is what we need to fight off infection and disease) across a wider variety of influenza strains compared to the children who were given a flu shot yearly.”

Here is another headline: “Confirmed: India’s Polio Eradication Campaign in 2011 Caused 47,500 Cases of Vaccine-Induced Polio Paralysis”. But the mainstream media news is telling a different story. They are reporting that polio has now been eradicated in India due to an intense polio vaccination campaign conducted by WHO (World Health Organization), Rotary International, UNICEF, and the U.S. CDC (Centers for Disease Control).

There is a lot of information out there on why to avoid vaccinations and the fact that our God-given immunity will offer more protection and keep us healthier if not compromised by vaccinations.

Unfortunately, there is not enough space in this letter. I encourage you to do some Internet investigating, and if you don’t have the Internet ask a friend or relative who does.

Don’t forget October is the month of the Holy Rosary. We have Pray the Rosary booklets available in English and four other languages. We also have the “How to Pray the Rosary” leaflet in the same five languages.

The enclosed leaflet was sent to our volunteers a few years ago. The leaflet has a prayer entitled, “Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima”, which is a litany style prayer. The first line of the prayer is “Our Lady of Fatima, pray for our dear country.”

The second line of the prayer is: “Our Lady of Fatima, sanctify our clergy.” Please take the time to read the prayer. It was written in the 1930's or earlier, but is most pertinent for today.

For more copies of the leaflet, call us at 1-800-845-3047.

Pray the Rosary; wear the Brown Scapular; stay safe under Our Lady’s protective mantle.

In the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts,

Joanna Swords
