- PRAYER & DEVOTION
Today I was sad, here in Fatima, Portugal, while in the Sanctuary witnessing first-hand the Canonization ceremony. As soon as it ended, I went back to bed. I just could not take it. That was how it affected me personally.
Pope Francis recently identified himself as the “Bishop dressed in White” in the Third Secret text. Today I watched this bishop dressed in white as he canonized the great child saints Jacinta and Francisco Marto.
I thought that the comparison of their lives vs. his papacy was such a cruel irony. Here is why:
My first point: the child Saint Francisco Marto loved the Blessed Sacrament profoundly! He spent hours every day in the church by himself adoring “the Hidden Jesus”. He cried when the parish priest would not let him receive Communion because the priest thought Francisco did not know his catechism well enough. Francisco, the Child Saint of Fatima, only received Holy Communion (the Host) once in his whole life — just before he died. It was with the greatest devotion and love that the child saint Francisco Marto honored Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Yet today I watched Pope Francis celebrate the Novus Ordo Canonization Mass, and in front of a million people — when he held up the Host and Chalice at the Consecrations for adoration by the faithful, as is his personal custom, he did not genuflect.
Pope Francis never genuflects before the Blessed Sacrament. He does not even genuflect during his own Mass. Personally, I think this demonstrates in a public way that Francis perhaps does not believe in the divine presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and therefore he does not love the Blessed Sacrament. Today, in an unprecedented public display of apostasy, he failed to adore the Blessed Sacrament as being God really and truly present, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. Yet here at Fatima, Francis, so obviously disrespectful of the Blessed Sacrament — so obvious it was, in fact, that even the cameramen, themselves ashamed, zoomed out with the cameras when Pope Francis was supposed to genuflect — canonized the great child saint Francisco Marto, the child saint who on the contrary greatly loved the Blessed Sacrament. It seemed to me supremely and cruelly ironic. It made me so sad I almost cried.
My second point: I reflected on the child Saint Jacinta, who was very pure and so intimate and close to Our Lady. The Mother of God revealed to the great child saint Jacinta Marto, “More souls go to hell for sins of the flesh than for any other reason.” Jacinta loved modesty in dress, and was so ashamed during her operation in Lisbon, just before she died, by having to be undressed on the operating table; and, in addition, she was fearful for the worldly nurses and others who might break the 6th Commandment. Jacinta had personally seen hell and this vision affected her even to the depths of her soul. Though only an innocent child, she was given special knowledge by the Mother of God about “sins of the flesh” as being the main reason why most sinners are lost. Jacinta was so beautifully chaste that during the several days after she died, before her body was put in a casket, it gave off a beautiful perfume, and this was a great miracle indicative of Jacinta’s great purity.
Yet Francis has proclaimed universally and instituted as a practice with like-minded bishops in many dioceses, Holy Communion to be conceded to people in second marriages, those who have already been legitimately married in the Catholic Church who are now involved illegitimately in a second marriage — even without an annulment. These are people obviously breaking the law of Jesus Christ concerning Catholic marriage, breaking the 6th Commandment “Thou shall not commit adultery” as the Catholic Church has always defined it. Note well: this teaching is communicated in the Gospels by three of the Evangelists at least seven times: three times by St. Matthew, two times by St. Mark, and two times by St. Luke.
So Francis canonizes the great child saint Jacinta, who, contrary to Pope Francis, with the holy fear of God, loved purity, chastity and certainly, without question, marital chastity. Jacinta was God’s chosen prophet, authorized by the Mother of God Herself, who told the faithful, that “more souls go to hell for sins of the flesh than for any other reason.”
This reflection on chastity, regarding Saint Jacinta vs. Pope Francis, seemed to me yet again cruelly ironic, and made me even more sad and indignant at Francis, who refers to himself now, according to the Third Secret text, as merely “a Bishop dressed in White”. So today I thought to myself, I would want to ask Pope Francis these questions: “In the light of the Fatima Message, if you were to meet St. Jacinta and St. Francisco in person, what would you dare say to them? And, given this obvious and cruel irony that I have just pointed out to you, what exactly is the purpose of your papacy — the papacy of ‘the Bishop dressed in White?’”
Finally, let me conclude by saying: I know a person who says faithfully the full fifteen-decade Rosary and, every day for more than twenty years, that person has offered the five Sorrowful Mysteries for the Pope. At this present hour in the history of the Church, we would all do well to imitate this practice, from today forward, with consistency and a sense of personal commitment.
The intentions for the Sorrowful Mysteries that this person always offers, are: “For the Pope. For his spiritual, physical, mental health and well-being. For his spiritual enlightenment concerning Fatima, concerning Tradition. The same intentions for the next Pope. The same intentions for the Pope, whoever he may be, who will consecrate Russia to Our Lady.”
